I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of St. Mary in San Antonio, Texas and am currently getting my PhD in Counseling Education and Supervision. My research interests include the personification link with clinical practice and counseling training. I am especially interested in the dimensions of the therapeutic relationship used as a link to healing.

The presence personified is a very important aspect in my therapeutic strategy. A relationship personified encourages interpersonal connection-especially during times of crisis and inevitable disconnections in our lives. It is through our presence felt personified what hacemo s not in the therapeutic relationship, but how we do it.

As a Gestalt therapist I am interested in the process of how the body works in adult survivors of child abuse and other trauma, creating awareness and sensitivity to our relational responsibilities as therapists, in particular I love the place that has the body the therapeutic relationship.

Working with the body in psychotherapy opens the door to understanding, experience, healing, and makes us aware of certain problems that traditional talk therapy usually does not give us access due to the control of the conscious mind and verbal expression . As a client of the body-centered therapy, you will be more aware of your breathing, movements, feelings, and sensations in your body. The body-centered psychotherapy is a holistic approach that integrates physical body with the therapeutic process. Our bodily experience forms the basis of our relationship with the world, and beliefs that are otherwise out of our consciousness.

As we become more aware of the messages our body sends us we can begin to lead healthier lives-both physical and psychological. I'm anxious to know / and from support through your journey.
